These marriages were computerized
by Rebecca Rector
from the original records at the Rensselaer
County Historical Society. The originals are in chronological order. Here,
they are listed alphabetically by Groom’s name. Every
attempt was made to interpret the names correctly.
However, the handwriting of
the different ministers was often difficult to read, especially the capital
letters. Some of the more difficult names were checked
against the census and city directories. Witnesses were included in the
registers in some years, but not others, depending on the minister. It appears
that many witnesses were church leaders, and not necessarily relatives. Note: this is a large file. Wait for it to load.
