Sick for 10 days, wife died 30 Nov. and was unable to recover from this shock (see Adria Comstock); he had nervous temperament, would rise above it then sink into melancholy; had a complication of diseases which induced derangement; left a 15 y.o. daughter. He had been a Class Leader [He was 40-50 in 1840 census of Troy’s 3rd Ward, wife 40-50, female 10-15. Next door is Hannah Comstock either 30-40 or 70-80 with a male 15-20] [IGI lists his birth as 28 Oct 1795 to John Comstock & Hannah Graves in Hoosick Falls; he married Ada Whitehead] [1837 Troy Directory: he was a reedmaker, home at 18 3rd, Cyrus boarded at same address]
