This is a listing, arranged by county, of all Reformed Dutch & Lutheran Church records which exist at the following places:

  1. New York State Library in Albany (NYSL)
  2. New England Historic Genealogical Society library in Boston (NEHGS)
  3. online
  4. Kinship Press in Rhinebeck, NY
  5. Note: New York Genealogical & Biographical Society in New York City also owns many of these records, though their catalog is not on the Internet, and there is no printed bibliography of their church records. Also, some of these records have been microfilmed and are available through the LDS Family History Centers, but these are not listed here.

 

For records at the New York State Library in Albany – some are available in multiple formats and locations, such as those published & indexed by Arthur Kelly at Kinship Press, typescript copies of the originals, microfilm or microfiche, and also in original manuscript. I have tried to include all formats, but have probably missed some.

 

For the online records, see the Online Resources section at the bottom of this page. Note however, that the online records may only cover a small portion of the records that actually exist. It’s a good idea to check websites and library catalogs on a regular basis as new records are continually being added. It’s also wise to check online records against one of the library copies as transcription or scanning errors are possible.
